Conditions Treated

Golfer's Elbow

This condition is marked by the presence of pain on the inside of the elbow, or pain when gripping and lifting an item such as a briefcase. Golfer's elbow is much like elbowstennis elbow, where even resting one's arm can cause serious pain and discomfort.

Treatment Plan

Acute: When the injury is acute, i.e. it just happened, it is easier to treat. Treatment consists of reducing swelling, fitting the patient with a brace and then prescribing a regimen of exercises and muscular re-education.

Chronic: In the case of an ongoing chronic aggravation, i.e. more than 2 months, the treatment is more extensive and in extreme cases, may lead to surgery.

About Elbows, Wrist, and Hand Pain

Injuries to the elbow, wrist, and hand areas commonly occur as a result of poor posture, physical injury, or repetitive physical strain. They can be rehabilitated with a combination of spinal mechanic exercises, relief from the aggravating activity, and braces and splints designed to alleviate pressure from affected areas.
