Conditions Treated
Entrapment Syndrome / Hand Numbness
There are more than a dozen sites where the nerves traveling from the neck to the hand can become "entrapped". When this occurs, a patient can experience pain, numbness, or tingling into the forearm, fingers, or whole hand.
Treatment Plan
The doctors will identify the exact area where the nerve is being entrapped by either a muscle or ligament. The doctors will then utilize Active Release Technique to "free" the entrapped nerve. This form of stretch-massage is followed by electrical therapeutics and a home stretch program to prevent future exacerbation.
About Elbows, Wrist, and Hand Pain
Injuries to the elbow, wrist, and hand areas commonly occur as a result of poor posture, physical injury, or repetitive physical strain. They can be rehabilitated with a combination of spinal mechanic exercises, relief from the aggravating activity, and braces and splints designed to alleviate pressure from affected areas.
